When I find something that can add value to people’s lives, I like to share it. I had been reluctant to look into the SavingStar program because so many of the ECQ readers live in rural areas and I didn’t think it would significantly benefit them. However, boy I am glad that I took the time to check it out!! After researching it further, I have found that SavingStar is a program that we can ALL benefit from… no matter what your city’s size!!
For example: In Thomasville, GA., if you enter the zipcode 31792, you will find that Harvey’s, Winn Dixie, CVS and Rite Aid are all participating stores! I entered 31757 to begin with, but it only yielded all but Winn Dixie and since I have a Winn Dixie rewards card and know they participate in the program, I re-entered the largest zipcode for the county. **Just remember to register each of your cards with the program(it took me all of 3 minutes), so that you can start earning money each time you shop at any of the participating stores in your area! I was surprised that we had as many stores participating in our area since we’re generally the last region of the country to get any sort of technology…well maybe not the last, but it certainly FEELS like it!!
If you haven’t already, take a moment and sign up for the SavingStar program! I love the idea of getting rewarded for shopping, plus paperless coupons!! If you are new to this program, here’s how it works:
- Select the eCoupons you like on the website or mobile app, and they are automatically linked to your store card. **You will register when you sign up, so have all of your store rewards cards handy!
- Use your card when you checkout and the money is added to your SavingStar account. The savings don’t change your bill at the register and the savings are not printed on the receipt. Instead, they get deposited into your account within 7-30 days depending upon where you shop.
- Once your SavingStar account reaches $5 in savings, you can pick your payout from a bank account deposit, a PayPal account deposit, an Amazon gift card, or a donation to charity. More options to come!
